June 21, 2025 - Allentown, PA: The United States Kickboxing Alliance (USKA) held event 116 Saturday night at the sold out Parkview Inn & Conference Center. There were eleven bouts on the fight card, two of which were title fights.

USKA President Gary Grant Jr. felt it was a great night of kickboxing, saying: “Great night of fights! Matchmaker David Harr put together a great card! Griffin Carpenter vs Jindrah Kemper was the fight of the night and really got the crowd going. The co-main event was awesome with Mark Pietras winning the 150 pound Thai title and it was also the knockout of the night with his big head kick. The main event did not disappoint. Great fight with Josh Martinez retaining his 150 pound K1 title by split decision. The crowd was great and the atmosphere perfect for a great night of fights.”

The event got started with Connor Fitzgerald, American Killer Bees, defeating Christian Bolton, UFC Lancaster, by unanimous decision.

Michael Brady, North Penn Boxing & Kickboxing, defeated Nicholas Vazquez, Xtreme Fitness, by unanimous decision.

Jonathan Santiago, SMT Academy, defeated Gregg Castillo (independent), by unanimous decision.

Elias Dantzler, Renzo Gracie PA, defeated Randy Espinal, Fight Firm, by TKO in the third round.

Eddie Nguyen, Philadelphia Striking Academy, defeated Omar Ortega, CFS Academy, by unanimous decision.

Donovan Saysana, Renzo Gracie PA, defeated Elijah Encarnacion, Gorilla Squad, by split decision.

Robert Carroll, SMT Academy, defeated Giovanni Cruz, American Killer Bees, by split decision.

Griffin Carpenter, UFC Gym Lancaster, defeated Jindrah Kemper, Bloomsburg Martial Arts Academy, by unanimous decision.

Jose Aponte, Tiger Schulman’s Allentown, defeated Christopher Rogers, Droogs MMA, by unanimous decision.

In the first title fight of the evening, Mark Pietras, SMT Academy, defeated Daniel Inch, CFS Academy, by TKO, in the 150 pound Muay Thai battle to become the new champion.

In the main event of the evening, things got a little interesting at the end, with a mix up of who actually won the fight. It was a very close fight between reigning champion Joshua Martinez, UFC Gym Lancaster, and Daniel Kwon, Philadelphia Striking Academy.

Martinez won the fight by split decision but it was Kwon who was initially awarded the victory.  Fight officials then conferred and looked at the judges score cards to correct the error. Kwon did not seem to be surprised by the reversal and his corner did not contest. Kwon then handed the belt back over to Martinez who would retain his title in the 150 pound K1 title fight.

The next fight will be USKA 117 on September 20, 2025 at the Hamburg Field House in Hamburg, PA. For more information about the upcoming fight and USKA, you can visit uskafights.com.

Grant said: “Our next event will be September 20th at the Hamburg Field House and we are looking to schedule a rematch between Martinez and Kwon. Fighter’s Heaven, Muhammad Ali’s training camp in nearby Deer Lake, will be hosting the weigh-ins for this fight.”
