State College, PA - September 2, 2023: Penn State QB Drew Allar (15) hands off to RB Nick Singleton (10) during their home opener against West Virginia University at Beaver Stadium. Allar threw for 325 yards (21 of 29) and 3 TD’s while Singleton rushed for 70 yards and a TD in the win for the Nittany Lions (38-15) in front of 110,747 fans. After a close first half (14-7), the Lions outscored the Mountaineers 24-8 in the second half. The offense piled up 478 total yards while the defense recorded three sacks and overwhelmed the Mountaineers all game.
