Bethlehem, PA - August 26, 2025: In Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) girls soccer action, the Parkland High School Trojans and the Freedom High School Patriots opened their 2025 season Tuesday afternoon at Freedom High School.

Parkland’s Isabella Hallal (18) scored three goals and had an assist in leading the Trojans to a 4-0 victory over the Patriots. Parkland’s Mackenzie McNeely (8) added a goal, with the assist on her goal going to Hallal.

Hallal scored her first goal of the season and the game at about eleven minutes into the first half. She maneuvered the ball to the top of the arc and hit on a quick hard turnaround shot. Freedom goalie Brooklyn Pronovich leaped and got her hands on the ball but it deflected into the goal.

Hallal scored her second goal at about twenty-three minutes into the first half. McNeely scored her goal in the second half before Hallal, about mid-way through the second half, picked up a lose ball in front of the goal and knocked it in for her third of the game.

Parkland’s defense was smothering and it prevented Freedom from having very few good, if any at all, opportunities for shots on goal.

Parkland has a good chance of reclaiming the top spot in the EPC and District XI after not winning either in 2024. Parkland won the DXI Championship from 2020 through 2023. Freedom last won the DXI Championship in 2019. Parkland won the EPC Championship in 2023.
