Bethlehem, PA - September 6, 2023: The Northampton High School boys soccer team traveled to Liberty High School for an Eastern PA Conference matchup and left still unbeaten after winning 2-0. In the sweltering heat, the first half saw a defensive battle as the match remained scoreless. Northampton did however have its share of shots on goal, a bit more than Liberty. One such shot was a penalty kick apparent goal by Jackson Vajda (10) which was later nullified by an offside call. In the second half, Northampton continued to pressure Liberty and Vajda would score twice for Northampton. The photo shows Vajda taking a shot on goal early in the match.
