Bethlehem, PA - September 11, 2024: The Moravian College women's volleyball team defeated rival DeSales University in three straight sets (23-25, 13-25, 22-25) tonight at Moravian's Johnston Hall.
Jenna Deegan, Makenzie Krasley, and Gabbie Reigner led Moravian with a total of 27 kills, Deegan had 12 of her own. The three combined for a total of 78 total attempts. Sam Love led Moravian with 16 digs.
Krasley and Deegan are both local Eastern PA Conference and District XI graduates. Krasley is from Emmaus High School while Deegan is from Easton Area High School.
On the DeSales side, Joy Kindall, Brooke Signorella, and Allison Reimer had 6 kills each. Reimer, also a local product from Parkland High School, totaled 12 digs to lead her team.
Moravian controlled all three sets and even though DeSales let set two get out of hand, they certainly had a chance in sets one and three as they fought back to keep it close and have a shot at the win. Moravian moved to 4-5 overall while DeSales dropped to 2-5 overall.
