Lehigh Defeats Rider

Bethlehem, PA - August 26, 2024: The Lehigh men's soccer team defeated visiting Rider University 1-0 Monday evening to notch their first victory of the season. Sophomore Trey Sheeler, a former Moravian Academy High School student-athlete, scored at 42:33 on a penalty kick after a yellow card was issued to Rider's Cole Sotack, it was Sheeler's first goal of the season. Rider controlled the ball most of the match and was in Lehigh's end of the field a big portion of the match. Rider took 10 shots on goal compared to Lehigh's 11 shots. Rider was called for 6 fouls in a somewhat physical contest.
