Bethlehem, PA - September 13, 2023: The Lehigh University volleyball team hosted Villanova University at Grace Hall in a non-league contest. Lehigh, in a tough match all night, won the first, third, and fourth sets to improve their record to 8-3 heading into Patriot League play starting this weekend (25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 25-20). "Tonight's win was certainly a great match to have going into Patriot League play," said head coach Alexa Keckler. "The win was exciting and hopefully will propel us into some strong play this weekend." The back and forth match saw Lehigh have 60 kills, 5 aces, and 10 blocks. Lehigh's Megan Schulte (22) tied her career-high 24 kills. Villanova had 56 kills, 4 aces, and 4 blocked shots, but it had 26 errors to Lehigh's 17. Lehigh has two matches this weekend, Holy Cross on Saturday, and last year's Patriot League Champion Colgate on Sunday.
