Lehigh Baseball

Bethlehem, PA - March 13, 2024: Lehigh University scored seven runs in the 5th inning and utilized four pitchers to outlast Coppin State University 14-9 Wednesday afternoon at J. David Walker Field at Legacy Park. The Mountain Hawks improved to 9-4-1 overall. Coppin utilized five pitchers on the afternoon who gave up twenty base on balls and fourteen runs on only six hits. Freshman Grady Golier started the game for Lehigh and pitched the first three innings. He left the game with the score 1-1. Lucas Rich also pitched three innings for Lehigh and would notch the save. The Lehigh pitchers gave up nine runs on nine hits, struck out and walked seven each. In the 5th inning, Lehigh's Andrew Kohl hit a two-run home run to right center for Lehigh's only long ball. Six different Lehigh players had a hit each. The game was error free. The below photo shows Kohl and teammates celebrating after his home run in the 5th.
