LaSalle Defeats Lehigh

Bethlehem, PA - November 11, 2025: The LaSalle University women’s basketball team utilized a 3rd quarter burst, outscoring Lehigh University 28-12, and had three players with 20+ points, in their win over the Mountain Hawks (81-70) Tuesday evening at Lehigh’s Stabler Arena. LaSalle improved to 3-0 on the season with the win while Lehigh fell to 1-2.
The first half of the game saw a close back and forth battle. The score at the half had Lehigh up by one (39-38). After the break, LaSalle came out playing better defense and they also drove the ball inside the paint, putting pressure on the Lehigh defense.
LaSalle finished the game shooting 49% (FG) and 58% from 3-point land. Lehigh shot 43% (FG) and 33% from 3-point land. The biggest numbers in the stats however had Lehigh with 21 turnovers. LaSalle as a team had 14 steals. LaSalle had 38 points as well in the paint while Lehigh had 26. Lehigh was missing their senior forward, Lily Fandre, who was out of the lineup with an injury.
Leading the way for LaSalle were Aryss Macktoon (00) with 24 points and 8 steals. Ashleigh Connor (15) added 22 points and had 7 rebounds while Joan Quinn (13) contributed 20 points. LsSalle out rebounded Lehigh 36 to 28.
For Lehigh, Jessie Ozzauto (15) had 17 points, Whitney Lind (30) had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Belle Bramer (12) and Leia Edwards (32) both added 14 points each.
This was Lehigh’s home opener. The defending Patriot League Tournament Champions won their season opener on the road against Cincinnati (88-85) but then fell to Fairfield, on the road as well, 88-60. Lehigh has Vermont up next at Stabler on November 15.
LaSalle came into the matchup against Lehigh after defeating Loyola Maryland and Saint Francis. LaSalle takes on Temple next on November 14.
