Kutztown, PA - February 15, 2024: It was Senior Night for the Kutztown University wrestling team as they hosted East Stroudsburg University inside Keystone Arena for what was both teams last regular season dual. Kutztown honored four seniors: Ethan Baney, Nathaniel Fossett, Roman Moser, and Trent Thompson, as the team dominated East Stroudsburg for the win 33-12 to improve to 5-2 overall. East Stroudsburg finished their season 6-5 overall. Kutztown wasted no time in getting things started at 125, with senior Trent Thompson, and at 133, Javien DeLeon, a Bethlehem Liberty High School graduate, who both pinned their opponents. Kutztown won seven out of the ten bouts, three by falls, one by major decision, one by technical fall, and two by decisions; including brothers Bailey and Dalton Gimbor who won back to back at 157 and 165. East Stroudsburg finished the match strong (197 and 285) with two decision wins, including at 197 where East Stroudsburg South High School graduate Ajay Hiller won 5-0. Kutztown forfeited the bout at 149. Next up for both teams on March 2nd is the NCAA Super Region Tournament which is being held at Keystone Arena on the campus of Kutztown University.
