Iron Pigs Win Series Against Bulls

Allentown, PA - April 26, 2026: The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, won both of their games today (6-0, 4-2) against the Durham Bulls to close out a six-game series in which they won five out of the six at award-winning Coca-Cola Park. The Iron Pigs now stand at the top the International League East Division with a 16-11 record.
This week’s series was the fifth for the Iron Pigs in the 2026 season. They opened their 16th season at home on March 27th against the Toledo Mud Hens. They swept the Mud Hens 3-0 in that opening series.
After the opening series against the Mud Hens, the Iron Pigs faced Durham. They won four out of those six games in Durham, NC. The highlight of the first two series was the pitching of Zach Wheeler who was in Allentown on rehab assignment from the Phillies.
In their third series against Rochester, the Iron Pigs stumbled a bit, winning only two of the six games against the Red Wings.
Then, against St. Paul, the Iron Pigs won only two of the six games against the Saints.
In March, prior to the season opener, the Iron Pigs and Coca-Cola Park received the honor of being named, by USA Today’s 10 Best, the best Minor League Ballpark in America. President and General Manager Kurt Landes had this to say after receiving the award:

Leading the way for the Iron Pigs on the mound are Connor Gillispie and Lou Trivino who each have three wins under their belt. Gillispie has pitched 17 innings and has struck out 18. Trivino has pitched 11 innings and has struck out 16.
Leading the way for the Iron Pigs at the plate are Steward Berroa and Felix Reyes. Berroa is batting .340 with 17 hits, 12 RBI’s, and 7 runs scored. Reyes is batting .333 with 27 hits, 15 RBI’s, and 12 runs scored. Reyes also leads the team in home runs with six.
Christian Cairo has 27 hits on the season and he leads the team in stolen bases with six.
In game one today, Cairo had two hits, including a 1st inning three run home run, to lead the Iron Pigs. In game two, Liover Pequero led the Iron Pigs by going 3 for 3 which included a double. Berroa added a hit and had 3 RBI’s.
Today's game one winning pitcher was Tucker Davidson (1-1) while the game two winning pitcher was Jean Cabrera (1-1). Trevor Richards received the save in game two. Richards has three saves thus far on the season.
The Iron Pigs travel to Syracuse on Tuesday, April 28th, for a six-game series against the Mets. They return home May 5th against Buffalo for another six-game series.
