Easton, PA - January 8, 2025: The Bethlehem Catholic High School wrestling team easily defeated Easton High School Wednesday night 38-20 to improve to 6-0 on the season and remain atop the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) standings.
The match started at 107 pounds before a crowded 25th Street Gym. Easton did not send out a wrestler at 107 so Bethlehem Catholic’s Nico Emili won by forfeit. It was Easton’s Ethan Krazer at 133 pounds that finally put the Red Rovers on the scoreboard and livened up the home crowd when he won a hard fought battle 4-3 against Ryder Campbell. Easton would then rattle off two more wins when Evan Carss (139) and Christopher Kelly (145) won by decision, the score 21-9 Bethlehem Catholic.
Bethlehem Catholic then won the next three matches, also by bonus points, to take a commanding 35-9 lead. Marco Frinzi (152) and Charlie Scanlan (160) won by technical fall before Shane McFillin (172) won by major decision.
Easton’s top dog Kurtis Crossman at 215 pounds made a statement in his home gym and pinned James Bozzi just before the buzzer in the second period. Bethlehem Catholic’s Conner Gillahan then closed out the match with a win by decision 2-1 over Alonzo Parker.
