Double OT Win

Bethlehem, PA - February 10, 2024: The 244th Rivalry between the Lehigh University and Lafayette College men's basketball teams at Stabler Arena needed two overtime periods to determine a winner. Lehigh, down the entire game, rallied to tie it up with seconds left in regulation on a Burke Chebuhar baseline jumper. With the momentum favoring Lehigh, they completed the comeback to win it in the second overtime period 94-90. Lafayette was dominant most of the game and led at times by as much as 20 points but Lehigh kept the pressure on and made the adjustments. The Mountain Hawks chiseled away at the lead late in the game, mostly by creating turnovers and scoring off those turnovers. They didn't take their first lead of the game until about the three-minute mark in the first overtime period. Lehigh was led by Dominic Parolin who had 33 points and Burke Chebuhar who had 28 points. Keith Higgins Jr. added 15 points and was clutch down the stretch. The keys to Lehigh's comeback was their 19 points off turnovers, to Lafayette's 8. Lehigh also had 15 second chance points to Lafayette's 4. Those two stats seemed to be a big difference. Lafayette was led by Mark Butler who had 20 points and Kyle Jenkins who had 17. This was the first of the two rivalry games, the next one being at Lafayette on February 24.
