Allentown, PA - February 27, 2024: The District XI 6A Girls Basketball final is set. Easton Area High School and Parkland High School easily won their respective semifinal game tonight at William Allen High School in Allentown, PA to set up a rematch of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) Championship game from two weeks ago in which Parkland upset Easton. Easton defeated Bethlehem Liberty High School tonight 53-42 while Parkland defeated Emmaus High School 54-35. Easton was led by Megan Elias (2) who had 13 points while teammate Evalyse Cole contributed 12 points. Liberty's Ava Kopetskie led her team with 13 points. Parkland was led by Talia Zurinskas (1) who had 24 points, 12 of which were from the 3-point line. Emmaus was led by Taylor Griffith who had 8 points. The below photos show Elias and Zurinskas, who figure to battle once again in the rematch on Friday night (3/1) at William Allen High School, this time, Easton, the 2023 District XI Champion, will be the underdog.
